ABOUT US

The Good Way Ministries started as a vision for ministry that reaches outside the confines of the church building and touches the lives of people in the community in the areas of their need by going beyond charity. Ministry that connects the church with the community and builds on those connections with fellowship, discipleship, mentoring, education and apprenticeship.

This vision centered around the concept of the Church without walls and included a focus on prioritizing worship and the Word; education, training, and a restoration of ways that reconnect us to the land, to the food we eat, to creativity and craftsmanship, and to each other. These ways have been largely lost in our modern society where speed, convenience and profit have become the benchmark for most things.

"Thus says Yahweh, 'Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, "We will not walk in it."'" (Jeremiah 6:16)

For many years, we thought that this vision required land, buildings, and infrastructure to be able to do all that God had set in our hearts to do; a place where people could come to learn, to grow, to worship and to fellowship. But as we have sought the ancient paths, where the good way is, our way of thinking has shifted, from ownership to stewardship and from residency to sojourning. We realized that Jesus during His ministry, and the early church, didn’t have or need any of those things to function and ultimately change the world.
